Add 'Copy To' & 'Move To' options to context menu

Most of the time we need to copy or move a file to different folder. For that we need to open a folder, cope the file and open the destination folder and paste it. Well there is a shorter way for that too... Do the same by just clicking the right mouse button! Here is how

The following registry modification will add options to the context menu for copying or moving a file.  Just right click on a file, choose the option and choose the destination folder. Please make you take the backup of registy before making any changes.:

To add 'Copy To' option

  • Open Registry Editor

  • Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

  • Create a subkey under it with the name: {C2FBB630-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}

  • Close the Registry Editor and try right clicking on a file. You should see the option


To add 'Move To' option

  • Open Registry Editor

  • Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

  • Create a subkey under it with the name: {C2FBB631-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}

  • Close the Registry Editor and try right clicking on a file. You should see the option
